I liked learning about the Roman regions and their Latin names because I was amazed to see that the Roman Empire was so vast, and also because I liked finding out what these places are called today. My favourite aspect about the Latin language is how many of our English words have their root in Latin and how many languages come from Latin. I'm looking forward to learning more about the Romans and their language!

My favorite Roman cultural aspect was the Jobs and learning that the Romans had many of the same jobs we do. My favorite aspect of the Roman language is that the names of males and females are easy to determine. The males end in "us" and the females end in "a" or "ia". My name is Lion. I took Latin I last semester. I really liked reading the Latin comics in the Minimus textbook. I also like using Latin to elevate my insults. I also like the way the Latin language delineates between male and female names. This however could be confusing in modern English terms because some girls have male names, like Billie, and that sounds off if it were Billia and sounds better as Billius.

4) My favorite aspect of the Latin language is how detailed it is and how there is a root word, and then you manipulate it and change the ending to make it work in your sentence.

My name is Maddie.
I took Intro to Latin I last summer, so summer 2017.
My favorite topic was the Roman food, because I thought it was interesting about the watered down wine and the sweetened fruits.
I love learning new languages, but my favorite part was finding the similarities of the English and Latin words. Even though Latin is a "dead" language, roots and whole words crop up in medical terms, and even in everyday language.
