The Legions of Rome were the backbone of the Roman army, an exceptional fighting force, virtually unbeatable in its time. This particular soldier I depicted rising from the dust to the background of the sunset. The Roman pillars atop the mountain represents how the Roman Republic had control of Rome, not the army which is sometimes shown as an occupier of Rome. I added the "scrapes" as texture. My goals of this piece were to show contrast, and I think I did a relatively good job.

Napoleon Bonaparte established one of the greatest empires in Europe of all time, as a military genius I depicted him as deep in thought, scheming his next attack. The main light source would be the sun rising in the east, just how is empire is rising. The background is the forest covered hills of Russia. My goals in this work was to improve my shading and how I draw faces, I think that I improved and this is my best portrait yet.

The BMW M3 is one of the most iconic sports cars of the day, the benchmark for its rivals. The roots clinging hold of the car represent how sometimes life can hold back our greatest ambitions and desires even if we are doing everything right. My goals for this work was to show proper proportions for the car however I'm very disappointed with it, although I think my shading was fine, my proportions are off and could be improved. Things are not where they should be. For example the grilles and headlamps are angled off and so is the hood. Although not my best, I still enjoyed drawing my favorite car!

This is a depiction of a 18th century Lithuanian army soldier, wielding the flag of the Pillars of Gedminids. My goals were to improve my shading, but I was disappointed with this piece. I think I could have used a different technique shading the clothing but I did do well showing the different layers of clothing.
