One large issue of all this pollution is that people now don’t have safe water to drink anymore, this effect is magnified in the countryside where they cant buy bottles of water easily. This consequence has led people in the countryside being diagnosed and killed by gastrointestinal cancer more than any other method of dying. It has also led to animals such as the bison these farmers use to become sick which can cut off an already dangerously low wage for the farmers. These pollutants in China also give base to extremely deadly chemicals in the water which can and has killed many of China's animals as well as even turning some fish different genders just based on the concentration of chemicals in the water, one being a masculinity related chemical. These chemicals however are far more reaching than in just China.
