The cause of the Great Depression was mainly based on the stock markets. I think the most important cause was buying on the margin because when people wouldn’t buy on the margin and then wouldn’t pay what they had to pay they would have to ask to borrow for money from banks and then banks would go broke and everyone started loosing their money. The reason being is because if the banks were more cautious with the lending of money and not go overboard, then they will still have money and stay open which then people will still have money regardless of the other causes. What cause the Great Depression in my opinion was that people was buying on the Margin , I say this because people brought stocks and they only payed 10% and the other 90% the bank payed it.
