The 21st century skills in this area will show problem solving skills, such as be able to reason effectively, solve complex problems, and communicate clearly using verbal and nonverbal skills. </div>]]></description>

         <title>Critical Thinking and Problem Solving </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>Analyze and evaluate major alternative points of view. </li><li>ISTE 7b Students use collaborative technologies to work with others, including peers, experts or community members, to exmine issues and problems from multiple viewpoints. </li><li>SS4.40 Compare and contrast the Reconstruction plans of President Abraham Lincoln, President Andrew Johnson, and Congress. </li><li>As students work in small groups, each person in their group should become an expert on one of the reconstruction plans. Students will use a number of sources to analyze and gather information. Students will then work together to compose a presentation comparing and contrasting the Reconstruction plans. My 4th graders are currently familar with Google Slides. They can use this source to collaborate and demonstrate these different view points from history. </li></ul>]]></description>

Students will use technology to create a video with their group that explains theses impacts as well as the purpose of the Emancipation Proclamation. </li></ul>]]></description>
