SS4.40 Compare and contrast the Reconstruction plans of President Abraham Lincoln, President Andrew Johnson, and Congress. 

As students work in small groups, each person in their group should become an expert on one of the reconstruction plans. Students will use a number of sources to analyze and gather information. Students will then work together to compose a presentation comparing and contrasting the Reconstruction plans. My 4th graders are currently familar with Google Slides. They can use this source to collaborate and demonstrate these different view points from history.

Students will work together to identify the impact the Emancipation Proclamation had on different parts of the country and different cultures. Students will use technology to create a video with their group that explains theses impacts as well as the purpose of the Emancipation Proclamation.

Students will conduct a mini-research project to identify the impact of President Lincoln's assassination. Students will gather material from primary and secondary sources, including printed materials, artifacts, and media & tchnology sources. Students will present their research and impact of the President's assassination in their choice of presentation.
