Co teaching depended on the person's experience. Variation and exposure to different teaching styles was also repeated. Co teaching varied, primarily because of each individual's experience. The parent had a negative experience with her daughter in a co-teaching classroom, so that shaped her opinion. The Special Ed teacher said he could not do his job without co-teaching and he feels his kids have better academic results because of it, and the principal noted that collaboration and co-teaching were a part of the culture.

Personality traits, such as ego, close-mindedness, controlling, were mentioned as hindrances. The Special Ed teacher noted that some teachers are not fans of inclusion and don't feel his students should be in their classes. Those teachers have no interest in true collaboration. The principal noted he sees issues at times when a veteran teacher works with a rookie, as a baby boomer and a millennial view things very differently.

The mom (speaking of her job in advertising), the Special Ed teacher (speaking of his collaboration with regular ed teachers) and the principal (speaking of collaborating with peers in administration) were all quite confident that they did this well. They all listed that they had the skills we mentioned as necessary, but at the very end the principal said "I guess, though, you should ask my peers if I'm as good as I think I am.".
