My favorite Type of Dance is Contemporary. I like Contemporary because it is a form of dance that tells a story and it shows emotion. I also like contemporary dance because the music is beautiful and the costumes are beautiful. Contemporary dance makes me feel like I am part of the dance and I can feel like I am living the story.

It is really emotional and their movements show their movements tell the story and their jumps and turns are really outstanding. The facial expressions they show on their face while they dance are matching with the story. At the end of the dance the girl is begging her brother not to leave to go to War. The choice of music showed the emotion and it showed the emotion through the music.

“Trainwreck - Contemporary Dance Video.” YouTube, YouTube, 20 Oct. 2020, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lkPVCX9IYaI.
This dance features all of the elements of Contemporary dance. What I love the most about this dance is how the dance starts on the ground and the woman is showing how sad the woman is. The woman starts with head rolls and moving her arms around showing that she is sad. The song choice matches with the storyline of a very sad woman. she starts moving up and then fully gets up. This is showing that she is using her whole body. The emotions of her sadness are shown through the arm movements and her beautiful movements. Her rolls and her full-body movements make the dance really emotional. My favorite part of the dance is when she goes on her toes and gets up using just gravity. This is the part of the dance that shows she is not giving up. Her jumps and her turns show the freedom of her movements. In the dance, the story is told really well. In the dance when it says trainwreck she falls to the ground. The whole story of the dance is the woman is wanting to get pulled out of Trainwreck and she is fighting for that.

A variety of music can be used depending on what the choreographer and dancer is wanting to express. The music and the dance do not have to be much in sync. Simple music is selected because the dancer will be portraying the expression visually and the audio should not take over the dance. The dancer should have music that gives them inspiration for their movements.

Lovely - Billie Eilish and Khalid (Dance Cover) - Youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YRTJroA4BX8.
In this dance, it is a Duet to the song Lovely by: Billie Eilish. in this dance they lean against each other by using gravity. They also use gravity to get out of it by running. I found this a great way to use your body and to use your momentum. Another thing i loved about this dance is how it is telling the story about how these 2 people are stuck trying to find themselves out of this place. The costumes show that they have been strugguling for a while. Another thing i find interesting is how the people turn to each other for help on how to get out of this place. Their movements matchup with the lyrics of the song and it absolutely tells the story from start to finish.

A movement that shows that she is giving up is laying on the floor trying to get up. This is showing that she is not wanting to give up just yet. In this dance, she is using her whole body and is slowly getting up as the song goes. I really like the song choice and I think it fits really well with the movements. I really like the bridge backbend thing she did and I thought that was the best part of the whole dance. As the girl, is giving up she goes back to the floor work, and has she is starting to have faith she is doing turns.
