         <description><![CDATA[<div>-Known as a conquistador (one who conquers).&nbsp;<br>- Riches were found in the fabled golden cities of cibola.<br>-He attacked Native American villages and captured and killed many Natives.<br>- Up and down the Rio Grande Coronado and his men were feared.&nbsp;<br>-He continued his search for gold<br>-He returned colony of New Galicia in Mexico.<br>-The Spanish king was disappointed because Coronado never found gold.<br>-He was appointed governor in New Mexico because he worked hard.<br>-He was accused of mistreating and abusing Natives.&nbsp;<br>-Then all charges were later dropped<br>-His health began to worsen and he died in 1554.<br>-His expedition gave much geographical knowledge of the new worlds southwest region.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
