¡Hola!

Me voy a dormir. ¡Buenas noches!

Taking a Spanish course this semester was certainly a unique experience. I learned part of the language that Costa Ricans speak.
I've noticed a few differences between my native language and the Spanish I learned in this course. One of the big differences I noticed is that Costa Ricans don't roll their R's and in my Spanish, rolling R's is essential to speaking correctly.
What I found interesting and exciting about the Costa Rican culture is that they do things different from that in the U.S.
If I continue to study this Spanish, I hope to learn a greater vocabulary. Learning Spanish in an online class is way different than how I learned Spanish. I grew up learning Spanish and English at the same time. My mom would grab some random object and say what it was in Spanish, then in English so I could know how to say it in both languages. This way of learning Spanish online was very different from how I learned Spanish and it was interesting.
One thing I liked about the course was that in the notes that were given to everyone, there were flashcards which were very helpful. What I didn't really like was that, because of the hurricane, I didn't have WIFI to do my work at the time, but in the end I got a whole unit of work off, so everything's perfect now.
One thing I did to help me in Spanish, or to help me know where there were accents, was to pronounce the words in my head to see where there was some sort of stress in the word to signify if an accent was needed somewhere. I still have trouble with that sometimes. I guess that could be something to improve on and also to figure out what the gender of a word is because I also have a bit of trouble there, too.
Something I could do to to improve my Spanish learning would be to really imagine a word by a picture of what the word represents and to sound it out to completely understand the word and to study how a word is spelled and how it is said.
Something my instructor helped me do was to remember to do my work on time, which helped me have more time to study some Spanish. I don't think there was really anything I needed help on that my instructor couldn't help me with, so this semester of Spanish was pretty interesting.
