Rewatching the video with statistics in the workforce for females in China shows the severity of the gender gap. The rule of fractions pretty much follows all of Chinese in which larger concepts or things are placed in the beginning of a sentence and the further down you go, it becomes smaller and more specific which just seems very logical to me. I noticed that in chinese when talking about a percent/fraction, you state how much is the total size of the group in question. for example, for the staff fraction 11 was stated first, then how many out of eleven afterwards. I think the cultural value reflected in this convention is that of group/community where the whole is addressed before the individual.

Upon watching the video again it seems to be pretty much what I said, except that the video is meant to try to help to reduce some of these challenges for women or show how to avoid them.
