The Fork (La Fourchette) is a monument built in 1996 by the swiss sculptors Jean-Pierre Zaugg y Georges Favre in Switzerland. in 1996 it was shipped off to a garden in Littau, Lucerne, and only made it back to Vevey in 2007 for an exhibition on cutlery It was named as the tallest fork in the world.It´s an 8-metre-tall (26 ft), 1.3-metre-wide (4.3 ft) stainless steel fork. It was built for a gastronomy fair, at first this monument stood in front of The Alimentarium (museum of food) for one year, then it was brought to a factory's garden as decoration. Finally, by locals' request, it was located in the city of Vevey on the Leman lake, it's a symbol of the city and a great place to take photos.
