I’d cancel the cold,

mondays,

school, and also

work.

 

If I were in charge of the world

There would be drugs,

alcohol, and

bunnies everywhere.

 

 

If I were in charge of the world

You wouldn’t have sobriety.

You wouldn’t have homework.

You wouldn’t have anxiety,

or “depression.”

You wouldn’t even have stress.

 

If I were in charge of the world

weed  would be a vegetable.

all edibles are dank

And a person who sometimes

forgot to puff,

And sometimes forgot to pass,

Would still be allowed to be

in charge of the world.

Grass,

Gas.

Money,

The sound of loud,

The sound of fire,

The sound of a good time,

Green grinded into a bowl,

Skittles on your tongue,

Brownies in a pan,

Being high as a kite,

Floating high above earth,

Summer time,

Green can send you on a soaring adventure.

Why people hate

Why people are depressed

Why we can’t just be happy

But most of all

Why drugs are illegal

Why getting high isn’t morally accepted

Why struggling makes you weak

What I understand is

Why people hide their feelings

Why people fake a smile

Why life is horrible

I value feelings

I write what I need to

I trust in no one

I honor my values

I give voice to the depressed version of me

I give voice to the pain

I am constantly in pain

I make a fake persona of me

I hold onto my past

I am dead inside

I make myself appear happy

I am afraid of overdosing

I am afraid that I will die alone

I am afraid that life is worthless

I am even afraid of the future

 

I am afraid of happiness

I am afraid of trust

I am afraid that I will end up heartbroken

I am afraid that I will be abandoned

I am even afraid of talking

 

I want real friends

I want to leave

I want to graduate

I want to restart

I even want to change my identity

I want love

I want joy

I want warmth

I want happiness

And I want drugs

Most of all I want to be normal
