Reading and annotation assignments made us analyze those individual articles. When doing annotation, we selected the information that we thought was useful or critical and gave opinions or comments
In the horizontal chart, we classified and integrated the information of each article into a table
Synthesis writing requires us to analyze the connections between articles horizontally, and give our own views of the original text. In the process, students complete analyzing academic literacy tasks.
Activities:
In Peer review activities, we read our classmates’ drafts, analyzing whether their drafts had achieved their purpose, whether strategies had been used properly, and giving our own suggestions for areas in the essay that could be revised. In addition, through feedback from others, we can review, analysis and revise our former draft.
