A person can be socially responsible by paying taxes, going to the army if needed, community services, etc.

We scamper around like timid little mouses
If we can't pay our taxes we will lose our land or our houses,
We hide and we fret when it is time to pay those taxes
A working man must always worry, and a rich man he just relaxes.

We work and we slave to buy and pay off our homes
But, we are not free from those taxes, even in the catacombs,
In the end of our life we own nothing not even our own soul
We then become chips and dice in our makers payroll.

Our souls they will belong either to the Devil or to GOD
Paying our taxes and our freedom we discover was just a facade,
We can own homes and land and gold and a beautiful diamond ring
But, if we don't pay their taxes, we cannot own or keep anything.

For us to live and prosper, unto our government we must pay a tribute
And if we don't, then our own government against us they will prosecute,
I just need and want to grind my teeth with anger along with my axes
I hate just to live to work to pay the Government my money; their taxes.

Whether I eat, or buy clothes, or go to the doctor, or pay my mortgage or rent
I must always give the government my money by paying them their percent,
And when I die, I know that I will not have to pay those taxes any more
But, then who will pay for our government, and who will pay for the poor.

There are many ways in which someone can be socially responsible, these may include people following different rules and laws. Another example of social responsibility is the responsibility we have in our families, which includes helping clean the house. If you have younger siblings, you have the responsibility to take care of them.

this poem specially caught my attetion by the way it was describing nature as a being.
It also caught my attention by a quote "It's time to wake up and see Mother Earth's pain" that is telling us to wake up and come to realisation of what we are doing and how we are affecting earth with our creations.

I chose this poem because I think it is a poem that relates a lot to social responsibility, since all of us are responsible for protecting the world we live in, and yet it seems like we're always expecting someone else to do our part.
We all must do something for society, because if we don't, who will?
This poem approaches just that in an interesting and amusing way that gets the message across, much more successfully than if Osgood had just downright accused every member of society of not doing anything.

That he would be in charge of seeing it was taken care of. And Nobody took it on himself to follow through,
And do what Everybody thought that Somebody would do.

When what Everybody needed so did not get done at all, Everybody was complaining that Somebody dropped the ball. Anybody then could see it was an awful crying shame, And Everybody looked around for Somebody to blame.

Somebody should have done the job And Everybody should have,
But in the end Nobody did What Anybody could have.

l chose this poem because it talks about people's responsibilities and that they are no excuses for refusing to help the world.

We live in a social space, with a unique niche,
Each of us have our roles to play unwaveringly.
We have an unwritten constitution of rights,
In an amalgamation of families, called society.

There are expectations of solid contributions,
Talents and skills need to be shared wisely.
Wealth and blessings to be evenly distributed,
Empathy towards each other as family does.

Rejoicing in the elation of accomplishments,
Unity paves a way to a developed nation.
Be aware of the problems facing our progress,
Eradicate poverty, disease and wanton cruelty.

Each citizen must strive to uphold justice,
Embracing roles in collective responsibility.
To broaden our visions and epitomize diversity,
Breaking the shackles of caste, creed and race.

God does not divide His mercy among creatures,
Seek not to break His covenants given in trust.
Start your contribution for the betterment of society,
By utilizing your inherent talents and potential.

I choose this poem because it talks about society, how we all need to contribute to the community and how we all have roles to play in order to make the world better.
