Motto: Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of Affairs.

We told them that In Islam, seeking knowledge is an honorable act, but it must be accompanied by the right manners and ethics. There are 6 main key adab in seeking knowledge which is :

1. Sincere Intentions (Ikhlas)

Seek knowledge solely for the sake of Allah, not for fame or personal gain.

The Prophet said: "Actions are but by intentions, and every person will have what he intended." (HR. Bukhari & Muslim)

2. Respecting the Teacher

Show respect towards teachers and scholars, as they are the ones passing down knowledge.

3. Make Du'a for Knowledge

Always ask Allah to grant wisdom and understanding in seeking knowledge.

The Prophet often made the du'a: "O Allah, increase me in knowledge." (Surah Taha: 114)

4. Show Gratitude to Allah

Be thankful to Allah for the opportunity to gain knowledge.

Knowledge is a blessing, and gratitude ensures it is used in the right way.

5. Avoid Distractions

Stay focused and disciplined when studying to maximize learning.

Reducing distractions allows for deeper understanding and retention of knowledge.

6. Maintain Cleanliness

Keeping oneself and the study environment clean enhances clarity and concentration.

Islam emphasizes purity, as the Prophet said: "Purity is half of faith." (HR. Muslim)

At the bottom of the poster, there is also a hadith that highlights the importance of seeking knowledge:

"Whoever travels a path in search of knowledge, Allah will make easy for him a path to Paradise." (Sahih Muslim 2699)

This hadith serves as a great reminder that learning with sincerity and proper adab brings both worldly benefits and rewards in the Hereafter.

Short Notes on Arkanul Islam (Five Pillars of Islam)

1. Shahada (Faith)

• Declaration: "There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is His Messenger."

• Affirms belief in Allah and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

2. Salah (Prayer)

• Perform five daily prayers as a connection with Allah.

• Foundation of faith.

3. Zakat (Charity)

• Give a portion of wealth to those in need.

• Purifies wealth and supports the community.

4. Sawm (Fasting in Ramadan)

• Fast from dawn to sunset during Ramadan.

• Teaches self-discipline and increases piety.

5. Hajj (Pilgrimage)

• Perform Hajj once in a lifetime if financially & physically able.

• Promotes equality and global brotherhood.

Importance of the Five Pillars

• Guides a Muslim's relationship with Allah (worship) and others (community).

• Following them sincerely reflects true faith and obedience to Allah.

They explained that :

1. Belief in Allah

• The oneness of Allah (Tawheed).

• His attributes, such as The Most Merciful, The Just, and The All-Powerful.

2. Belief in Angels

• Created from light, without free will, and carry out Allah’s commands.

• Examples: Jibril (revelation), Israfil (blowing the trumpet), Raqib & Atid (recording deeds).

3. Belief in Scriptures

• Divine books: Torah, Psalms, Gospel, and the Quran.

• The Quran is the final and unaltered guidance for humanity.

1. Belief in Prophets

25 prophets mentioned in the Quran, with Prophet Muhammad as the last one.

All prophets conveyed the message of Tawheed (oneness of Allah).

2. Belief in the Last Day

Life on Earth is temporary, and everyone will be resurrected for judgment.

Small and major signs of the Day of Judgment as warnings.

3. Belief in Qada’ & Qadar (Divine Decree)

Everything happens by Allah’s wisdom and knowledge.

Humans have free will, but everything is within Allah’s plan.

Ihsan, in Islam, refers to excellence, perfection, and doing good in both worship and daily conduct. It is beautifully explained in the Hadith Jibril, where the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ defined Ihsan as:

"To worship Allah as if you see Him, and if you do not see Him, then know that He sees you."

Ihsan is not limited to acts of worship like prayer (salah) but extends to every aspect of life, including our behavior, work, and relationships. A person who practices Ihsan always strives to give their best effort—whether in academics, personal interactions, or contributing to society.

By embodying Ihsan, we develop sincerity, integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility, knowing that Allah is always watching. This mindset transforms our actions into acts of worship, bringing both personal growth and spiritual rewards.

Adab as a Student – Key Etiquettes of Seeking Knowledge

1. Sincere Intention (Ikhlas) – Seek knowledge for Allah’s sake, not for fame or personal gain.
   Surah Al-‘Alaq (96:1): “Read in the name of your Lord who created.”

2. Firm Determination – Stay motivated and persistent despite challenges.
   Surah Al-Kahf (18:60): “I will not cease traveling until I reach the junction of the two seas…”

3. Humility & Respect – Be humble and show respect towards teachers.
   Surah Al-Kahf (18:66): “May I follow you so that you teach me what you have been taught?”

4. Patience & Perseverance – Learn gradually and endure difficulties with patience.
   Surah Al-Kahf (18:67-69): “Indeed, with me, you will never be able to have patience.”

5. Learn from Scholars – Seek knowledge from credible and qualified teachers.
   Surah An-Nahl (16:43): “Ask the people of knowledge if you do not know.”

6. Adab in Knowledge Gatherings – Be courteous and respectful in study sessions.
   Surah Al-Mujadilah (58:11): “Make space in gatherings; Allah will make space for you.”

   
   

Following these etiquettes ensures that knowledge is gained with sincerity, discipline, and respect, bringing both worldly and spiritual benefits.

Sustainability in Islam

Islam promotes sustainability through principles of moderation, responsibility, and environmental care. Key teachings include:

1. Avoiding Waste (Israf & Tabzir) – The Quran discourages wastefulness and encourages balanced consumption.

2. Protecting Nature – Water, land, animals, and all natural resources are part of Allah’s creation and must be preserved.

3. Ethical Living – Islam emphasizes fairness in trade, social justice, and sustainable development for the well-being of all.

4. Responsibility for Future Generations (Amanah) – We are entrusted to care for the Earth and leave it in good condition for those who come after us.

By following these principles, Muslims contribute to a sustainable and just world.

Above all, I pray for guidance, strength, and barakah in everything I do. If things do not go as planned, I believe that Allah’s plan is always better than mine. Aamiin.

“And whoever relies upon Allah – then He is sufficient for him.” (Quran 65:3)

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Actions are based on intentions, and everyone will be rewarded according to what they intended" (Bukhari & Muslim).

This highlights that two people might carry out the same action, but only the one who does it sincerely for the sake of Allah will receive the reward.

Having the correct intention isn’t about saying it out loud, but about having a genuine and conscious purpose in the heart. It serves as a reminder that worship is not just a habit or tradition, but a deliberate act of devotion.

Praying with khusyuk brings peace to the heart, strengthens one’s faith, and acts as a shield against sinful behavior. The Prophet (peace be upon him) also described prayer as the light of a believer. When a person prays with true focus and humility, their connection with Allah becomes stronger, and this spiritual light is reflected in how they live and behave each day.

Salah performed with khusyuk softens the heart, nurtures sincerity, and keeps the soul constantly linked to Allah.

Through fasting, Muslims learn to be patient not only with hunger and thirst but also with emotions like anger and desires. It fosters empathy, as those who fast come to understand the daily struggles of the poor and less fortunate. This practice encourages gratitude for Allah’s blessings and promotes greater awareness of one’s actions and behavior. Fasting also offers physical benefits, such as cleansing the body and enhancing self-control.

These special days include the Day of Arafah, where fasting is highly encouraged, as it wipes away the sins of the past and coming year. Muslims are urged to increase acts of worship during this period such as extra prayers, remembrance of Allah (dhikr), fasting, giving charity, and reciting the Qur’an. While pilgrims performing Hajj carry out sacred rites, Muslims who are not performing Hajj can still earn immense rewards through devotion and reflection. It is a time for spiritual growth, renewal of faith, and seeking Allah’s mercy.
