What/who is the film about?

1. The film is about a boy named Grant who usually sits the bench for his high school baseball team. He is a good shortstop and committed to Louisville, but their starting shortstop MJ is committed to Vanderbilt. MJ gets hurt, meaning Grant must play the State Championship game after not playing all year. The problem is, his teammate Mike doesn't trust him.

Who is your audience (what type of people would go to this film? Be specific!)

1. My audience is baseball fans alike, but mainly youth baseball fans. 

What is the important point this screenplay should make?

1. The important point this screenplay should make is to teach people that even as an underdog, you will always get your opportunity, and you just have to take advantage of it. 

What do you want the audience to do and/or feel?

1. I will make the backstory about how Grant deserves the role, making the audience upset he doesn't play, and then the audience will be excited and happy for Grant that he now gets an opportunity to play. Grant is sort of the underdog.

1. For such a star at Buford High School he didn't look like your ordinary MLB prospect. He was small, standing at 5'11 and only weighing 170 pounds, a mere 5 pounds more than I did. But this weight was pure muscle, from his bulging quads to his toned back, not a pound of fat on his body. (Grant)
2. He fit the description, weighing in at 205 pounds and standing at 6'3, a fantastic build for an athlete. He had it all, flowing blonde hair, toned abs, and he dated the prettiest cheerleader in school. (MJ)

Why does this story matter to you? Why did you choose it?

1. This story matters to me because I relate to Grant.  I was a Pitcher Only last year in baseball and I really desire the chance to prove myself on the field. 

Why will your audience be interested in this?

1. My audience will be interested in this because I think that many are underdogs themselves, and they will be interested to see an underdog potentially win when it feels like the world is against him. 

How will you grab their attention?

1. I will grab their attention by starting the script with a preview to the championship game where Grant's name is called, and then sort of rewind it back to the present, where it is still a week earlier.

How did this fourth week go for you? What was challenging?  What could Mr. Burr have done better?

1. This fourth week went really well for me. I thought it was cool to write a script, but I also liked making videos. The most challenging part for me was finding videos for my pre-production. I don't think that there is anything Mr. Burr could have done better this week.

What was the most valuable thing you learned this summer in Mobile Media? Why?

1. In my opinion, the most valuable thing I learned this summer in Mobile Media was pre-production. I had never really thought of it, so the Shot List specifically helped me tremendously. I would say it was more helpful than anything else because I was able to know what I was shooting a few days in advance, rather than shooting at the spur of the moment. 

How do you feel about the storytelling? Are you proud of your project? What went well? What could go better?

1. I feel good about the storytelling and I am proud of my project. I think that what went well for this project was actually the inspiration for this story, as I had a lot of quality ideas for my script before I wrote it. What could have gone better was my pre-production videos. They aren't bad, but I feel as if I chose a difficult topic for my story because it doesn't happen very often.

1. The only final comments I would like to leave about this class is that it was really enjoyable. I truthfully don't think there was room for improvement, as I liked this class. Thank you.
