Choose a subtopic

• This you will need to find interesting. It is of your own choosing

• The subtopic has to take place/revolve around/be important to an English speaking country

• It's possible for 2-3 pupils to work together - everyone creates a unique outline

Find inspiration in the curriculum (pensum)

• In fact - read ALL of the texts and watch minor videos

Find two to five sources to elaborate your subtopic

• Examples of topics and subtopics:

    • Teen Identity

  • Media and Fake News

    • Trumpists

  • Human Rights and Racism

    • BLM

Make an outline - see window to the right for a template

• Two sources minimum

The above work with your own chosen topic and subtopic is for the first FIVE minutes of the exam. The next EIGHT will be a conversation from questions to one of the other topics. This topic is drawn by you at the exam. You won't know which one you will draw - the topics are hidden

• This means that you need to read ALL of the curriculum again!! And practice speaking English - strike up spontaneous conversations with EVERYONE around you

At the exam:

• The first five minutes are entirely your own - for the next approximately eight minutes your answer a question to one of the other topics in a conversation with me and the censor
