    Cesar Chavez had to puity  rammar school to work in the farm fields full time in 1942.

    In 1948 Cesar Chavez married his sweetheart  Helen Favela. Together   would have eight children.

    In 1968 Cesar Chavez went  on a hunger strike for 25 days.

    In1920 the after the signeda a contract with most gropes growers in California hunger strike came to an end.

    Cesar Chavez went on a  24 day hungers strike in 1927.

    In 1972 the UFW organized another strike = this time against lettuce growers.
