         <title>I utilised a website called&amp;nbsp;http://mindmapfree.com/&amp;nbsp;a lot this year when completing projects. All children would go onto the website and begin building their own map and then after completing the project they would complete another one, I would print both of them out at the end and the pupils would be able to see how much they had learned.</title>

         <title>&amp;nbsp;Use GoogleDocs when completing English writing with an older class.I use the First Steps framework for writing and I think that through using googledocs it would be hugely beneficial in completing the fourth and fifth step of the writing process; shared and guided writing. The fourth step involves the teacher and the children writing together and the fifth involves the child writing with guidance from the teacher.</title>

         <title>I have prior experience of using photopeach on a class edublog - showing photos of the children&#39;s work in a slideshow format. I think it might be a nice way to incorporate looking and responding to ask pupils to access this at home and with help from a parent write in a nice comment describing their favourite drawing and why.&amp;nbsp;</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><a href="http://teachercpd.ie/user/view.php?id=11752&amp;course=390"><figure class="attachment attachment-preview"><img src="http://teachercpd.ie/pluginfile.php/25215/user/icon/tcpd/f2?rev=27346816" width="35" height="35"><figcaption class="caption"></figcaption></figure></a></div><div>Re: Module 5 - Discussion Forum</div><div>by <a href="http://teachercpd.ie/user/view.php?id=11752&amp;course=390">Alice O Donnell</a> - Thursday, 7 July 2016, 10:18 PM</div><div> </div><div>This module prompted me to do some further reading on the topic as I feel it is an area that I really need to be much more aware of in the coming year.<br><br></div><div>Some key areas that I will address are:<br><br></div><ul><li>Make parents more aware of internet safety by mentioning the parent section of the Webwise website  at  the parent/teacher meeting when making other recommendations.</li><li>I will use the ‘Skitch’ app to blur out individuals in class photorgraphs , whose parents have not consented to them being photographed.</li><li>I will download sample AUPs from the Webwise website to provide input for senior classes into the school AUP.</li><li>I now know that I need to consult with senior pupils when the AUP is being formulated.</li><li>I will use Kids Tube as a safe alternative to You Tube where possible.</li><li>It was great to learn about alternative search engines.  I intend to use <a href="http://www.duckduckgo.com/">www.duckduckgo.com</a>  in future.  Other safe search engines I have discovered include; Kidrex and Kiddle.</li><li>I will continue to use a class email address (not my personal account) but will also phase in Edmodo to connect with pupils in a safe way.</li><li>I need to assign children to specific iPads/ laptops and record same as a safety precaution.</li><li>Copyright issues will be addressed as a major priority in my e-learning plan.  I will create a lesson about copyright etiquette, focussing on the need to acknowledge the author/source of work .</li><li>I will ensure that all images/videos in my own IWB flipcharts are accredited.</li><li>Creative Commons  will provide an excellent starting point for downloading copyright free material.</li></ul>]]></description>

So many from an excellent course , where to begin?!!

Revision and consolidation of my understanding of and the
need for formative assessment-(Dylan Williams’ video clips formed a large part
of my Learning Record)

·&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;
An emphasis on the process rather than the product would
facilitate AFL using ePortfolios.&amp;nbsp; It would enable the children to learn
the skills associated with technology in a meaningful manner.&amp;nbsp; It would
also foster more immediate home-school links.&amp;nbsp; The dreaded red pen would
not be a feature of resources such as Google Docs and would therefore enhance
self-esteem
