I just finished a course called "Introduction to Academic English," which was a wonderful educational opportunity. The course covered a variety of topics, including academic vocabulary, grammar, and punctuation, with the goal of enhancing my academic writing and communication abilities.

The value of utilising acceptable academic language was one of the course's main lessons. In comparison to informal writing, academic writing involves a different language style, and it's essential to employ words and phrases that are pertinent to the subject and show a deep level of comprehension.

I also learnt about the framework of academic writing, including how to put ideas into a clear and succinct format and how to connect different sections of an essay with transitional phrases.

Also, the training taught fundamental grammar and punctuation principles like subject-verb agreement, proper tenses usage, and how to utilise commas and semicolons. These guidelines must be followed in order for the text to be clear and grammatically correct.

The training not only helped me become a better writer, but it also made me aware of the value of academic honesty. This includes avoiding plagiarism by properly citing sources and judicious use of quotations and paraphrases.

Overall, the Introduction to Academic English course was a valuable learning experience that has helped me to improve my writing skills and develop a better understanding of academic language and style. I'm excited to apply what I've learned to future academic assignments and to continue developing my writing skills.

I gained knowledge of excellent essay planning and writing techniques in this course. Writing has always been difficult for me since I have trouble organising my thoughts and ideas. But now that I've finished this course, I'm more assured in my capacity to organise and compose a well-structured essay.

The introduction to the course covered the steps involved in writing an essay, including choosing an essay topic, generating ideas, and coming up with a thesis statement. The brainstorming exercise was really beneficial to me because it helped me come up with a list of concepts linked to the essay's subject.

The course's second section concentrated on creating an essay outline. I gained knowledge of the various kinds of outlines, including topic outlines and sentence outlines, as well as successful usage techniques. I was able to better organise my thoughts and ensure that my article had a logical flow by making an outline.

The significance of research in essay writing was also highlighted in the training. I gained knowledge on how to gather reliable sources, assess their dependability, and incorporate research into my essays. This was especially helpful when I was writing essays and needed to provide evidence to back up my claims.

The course also covered the essay's introduction, body, and conclusion as well as the actual writing process. I gained knowledge on how to create an attention-grabbing beginning, a compelling thesis statement, and how to develop and defend my points in the essay's body. I also learned how to construct a conclusion that would sum up the essay well and leave the reader with positive feelings.

Overall, this course has aided in my improvement as an essay writer. I am now more assured in my capacity to organise and compose a well-structured essay that clearly conveys my ideas. I'll keep applying the methods and strategies I've learnt in this course to my writing in the future.

In the two weeks of school, I took my third Academic English class, and the lecturer talked about the structure and skills needed to create an academic English essay, including the thesis statement, topic sentences, supporting details, examples, and a conclusion.

At first, I was anticipating this class and worried because I was curious and excited about what I could learn while also worried that I would not be able to keep up with the class, but after the class, I discovered that it was not difficult to understand, although the lesson plan was a bit challenging, I felt that it still took time to understand the entire topic.

Studying for this course has enhanced my writing abilities and helped me become proficient in using them to represent the major ideas and main points of my essay, as well as to clarify my ideas in more detail and to offer structure for my essay. However, using these skills to complete the essay demands good English grammar and vocabulary, which is another aspect that troubles me.

Through this topic I know that thesis statement must specifically that can guide writer on what to include and exclude in writing the essay and it should be written in a complete sentence within the three ideas of the topic. Topic sentence is a sentence that expresses the main idea of the paragraph in which it occurs and supported with the details. Conclusion is essential part of clearly and definitely conveying main idea in the last paragraph.

I can apply these strategies to improve my essay's richness and make my main points more understandable in order to receive higher test scores.

I need to practice more, consult teachers and classmates humbly, listen to their advice, and improve my English grammar and vocabulary in order to study this topic successfully.

FOR REFRENCING Recently, when writing on an academic paper, I discovered the importance of referring within paragraphs. I came to the conclusion that I needed to learn more about how to properly credit sources inside a paragraph and the significance of doing so. I made the decision to learn how to correctly cite sources in paragraphs, so I started by reading the academic writing policies of my university.

The amount of material and guidelines I had to know for referencing sources in paragraphs first left me feeling confused and frustrated. But as I read and practised more, I became more assured that I could do it perfectly.

I think that mastering good paragraph-level citation techniques is essential for academic writing. It enables me to give due credit to the creators of the materials I cite, and it improves my arguments by supplying proof for my assertions. I also discovered that there are various ways to cite sources inside a paragraph, such as utilising in-text citations or footnotes, and that I need to select the best approach based on the style manual or guidelines offered by my professor.

In hindsight, I see that my ignorance about and lack of expertise with paragraph reference was what ultimately contributed to my frustration and first feelings of overwhelm. I was able to get past these emotions and gain a better appreciation for the need of accurate referencing in academic writing, though, by doing research and practising.

In conclusion, it was initially difficult but ultimately rewarding for me to learn about paragraph reference.

Summarization is the process of condensing a large body of information into a shorter, more concise version while preserving the key information and main points.

I feel that summarization is an essential skill in many aspects of life, whether it's for academic purposes or to quickly convey information in a professional setting. I understand the importance of presenting information in a clear and concise manner.

Summarization requires a good understanding of the original content, the ability to identify the key points, and the skill to express them succinctly. It's not always easy to summarize complex information without losing important details or oversimplifying the content. It's important to strike a balance between brevity and accuracy.

Summarization is a useful technique that can help to save time and enhance understanding. It can be used in various contexts such as academic writing, journalism, and even in daily conversations. However, it's important to note that summarization is not appropriate in every situation. In some cases, a more detailed and nuanced explanation may be necessary.

Summarization is a valuable tool that can help to convey information more efficiently and effectively. It requires careful analysis and evaluation of the original content to determine what is essential to include. However, it's important to recognize the limitations of summarization and to use it appropriately depending on the context and purpose.

To improve my summarization skills, I will practice summarizing articles, research papers, and other texts regularly. I will start by reading the text thoroughly to gain a good understanding of the content. Then, I will identify the main points and key information that needs to be included in the summary. Next, I will work on expressing these points concisely and clearly, using my own words. Finally, I will review and revise my summary to ensure that it accurately represents the original content and that I have not omitted any crucial information. I will also seek feedback from others to help me identify areas for improvement and refine my summarization skills further.

UNIT 7:COMPARE AND CONTRAST

The seventh thing I've learnt about compare and contrast essays recently is that they are a type of academic writing that examines the similarities and differences between two or more subjects or concepts. If the essay compares two things, the paragraph is a comparison paragraph. A paragraph will be a contrast essay if the essay discusses the differences.

When I first started this course, I was really confused because it discussed two different writing styles, but I couldn't identify the difference between them. I therefore took some time to comprehend the course, but I was still unable to effectively utilize these two writing skills.

I discovered that using an essay can give a concise and clear introduction that explains the topics being compared and gives background information for the comparison. The reader also can readily follow the analysis because the body paragraphs are clearly ordered and each concentrate on a different point of comparison. The article offers a careful examination of the similarities and differences between the subjects, supporting each claim with specific examples. But so far, it seems a little challenging to me to illustrate that two subjects were compared to one another without using specific topic sentences and connecting words to clearly establish connections between the subjects.

Block and point-by-point are the two main formats for compare and contrast essays. Block compare and contrast essays describe how to fully discuss the first object in the first body paragraph before moving on to the second .A second option to structure the essay is to describe one specific point about the first item, and then discuss that identical point about the second item right away.

The conclusion of the essay summarizes the main points of comparison and provides a thoughtful analysis of the significance of the similarities and differences between the subjects. This does not simply repeat what was already stated in the body of the essay, but instead offers new insights and broader implications of the comparison.

I'll come up with ideas and precise vocabulary to use in multiple essay revisions, decide on the purpose of the chosen essay, make a suitable outline for the chosen essay, and create an essay free of errors.

This is the seventh lesson I've just learnt about cause and effect essays, which are concerned with the causes of actions and the effects they have. It's usual to organise and communicate ideas using the concept of cause and effect. Therefore I able to explains why something occurs by analyzing causes as well as discusses the outcomes or results of an event by evaluating effects.

I study with eagerness and expectation because I know that this course will significantly improve my writing skills. By understanding this information, I will be able to write with greater clarity and substance.

To improve the essay's flow and readability, I should use a wider variety of sentence types and language. Additionally the analysis could be reinforced by addressing more complicated or nuanced parts of the cause and effect relationship, rather than depending on basic explanations. This will enable me to explain the reasons and effects being discussed in a clear, concise way, using examples to substantiate each point.

I should formulate my thesis statement and make it obvious if I'm talking about causes, effects, or both. Using the phrases "cause" and "effect," state the key concept. I can also come up with a technique to arrange supporting information in a chronological manner, which is how the events are listed. Order of importance, details are organised from least to most important or vice versa. Finally, categorical refers to the arrangement of details through the division of the subject into parts or categories.

As a result, the essay's ability to allow me to connect the various causes and effects with transitional words and phrases is one of its strongest points. This makes it simple for the reader to follow the analysis and comprehend the relationships between the various facets of the subject under discussion.
To be able to write a decent essay, one must perform research to learn about the subject, its causes and consequences, and to offer insights and implications regarding the relationship between causes and effects' larger relevance. Finally, I need to make sure that my analysis is logical and simple to follow while paying special attention to grammar, spelling, and punctuation. In addition, I need to practise these writing techniques further by doing more activities.

During a recent project in English class, I prepared an opinion essay. I made the case in the essay that social media did, in fact, have a detrimental effect on mental health. I spent many hours reading and researching for the essay, and I was sure of my points.

I was initially eager to write the essay because I felt passionately about the subject and had a tonne of ideas to consider. Yet as I dug more into my study, I found myself struggling to sort through the sheer volume of material that was out there. I struggled with my essay at points and was unclear of its direction, but I persisted and eventually developed a strong thesis.

I believe the essay was successful overall. I was pleased with the points I presented, and both my instructor and students gave me encouraging feedback. There was room for improvement, though. I could have, for example, spent more time revising and editing the essay to make sure it flowed well and properly communicated my point.

As I think back on my experience, I see that one of the difficulties in writing an opinion essay is striking a balance between one's own opinions and the proof provided by facts. Despite my strong opinions regarding social media's detrimental effects on mental health, I had to make sure that my justifications were supported by facts and figures. To decide which material was pertinent and trustworthy, this required thorough consideration of my sources and critical thinking.

Opinion essay writing may be both a pleasant and difficult activity. To effectively communicate one's position on a subject, one needs to plan well, conduct research, and use critical thinking. To ensure that my writing is crystal-clear, succinct, and successful going forward, I'll concentrate on honing my editing and revising abilities. In order to deliver a convincing and well-supported argument, I will also make an effort to strike a balance between my own convictions and the evidence of fact.
