         <title>       Radioactive Waste</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Radioactive waste is a huge concern. Waste from nuclear power plants can remain active for hundreds of thousands of years. Currently, much of the radioactive waste from nuclear power plants has been stored at the power plant. Due to space constraints, eventually the radioactive waste will need to be relocated. Plans have been proposed to bury the radioactive waste contained in casks in the Yucca Mountains in Nevada. There are several issues with burying the radioactive waste. Waste would be transported in large trucks. In the event of an accident, the radioactive waste could possibly leak. Another issue is uncertainty about whether the casks will leak after the waste is buried. The current amount of radioactive waste requiring long-term storage would fill the Yucca Mountains and new sites would need to be found to bury future radioactive waste. There is no current solution to deal with the issue of radioactive waste. Some scientists feel that the idea of building more nuclear power plants and worrying about dealing with the waste later has the potential of a dangerous outcome.</div>]]></description>

Supporters of nuclear energy argue that it is an efficient source of energy that is easy to implement. People against nuclear energy propose using combined methods of solar, wind and geothermal energy. Solar, wind and geothermal energy still have environmental issues, but ones that are not as great as nuclear plants or coal-burning power plants.]]></description>

         <title>Downsides Of Using Radioactive Tracers</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Radioactive Tracers are helpful in many ways but can also have some  downsides. The radiation used in the tracer has to be stored in a safe place away  from people. Once the tracer is put into somebody they need to be placed in isolation until the radiation leaves the body. The radiation used also has a short half life and can ionize cells in the body.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Evidence from group member #1:</div><div>I think that using Radioactive Tracing is a good thing because it’s easy, safe, and quick. However if you use too much of it, it can cause lots of problems. There are also Gamma rays that can be detected from outside the body.&nbsp;</div><div>	Evidence from group member #2:</div><div>I think it’s better because it has a lot of good things that it is used for. Most of the stuff it’s used for is good for people. Also it is for the U.S. army.</div><div><br></div><div>	Evidence from group member #3: Using radioactive tracing is better than other methods because it is safe and clean.
