  • Their world revolves around a certain belief/concept like “faction before blood” or “Everyone is equal”.
  • If you disobey the beliefs/concept the society believes in, then there will be horrible punishments.
  • Propaganda is used to control citizens
  • Freedom is restricted.
  • Citizens are under constant surveillance
  • It’s an illusion of a utopia
  • A futuristic, fictional world where oppressive societal control and the image of a utopia is retained through corporate, rule-bound, technological, moral, or monocratic control. 
  • It usually takes place after an event has happened. For example in a world that pollution has taken over completely, or maybe a place where war has taken over or natural disasters.
