The students would go on a virtual field trip of Statue of Liberty. I would also show the model of Statue of Liberty and ask students to tell me what they already know about it.
They would then cut out paper and measure the actual length of foot of Statue of Liberty.
They would also fill out reflection sheet with 3 things they learned that day.

We would speak to individuals with disabilities, read about different types of disabilities, watch movies about people with disabilities--all this to provide variety in modes of learning.
