1- Basic Holiday fact: where and who celebrates this holiday. When is it observed..

2- History of the Holiday: Why is this holiday important? What is being remembered or honored?

3- Mention 3 special traditions or activities that are done to celebrate that holiday.

4- Compare your family tradition to the way the holiday is traditionally celebrated in other cultures.

5- Share a picture/ greeting card or a photo that represents the Holiday or shows your family celebrating it.

6- Rehearse/practice reading the text a couple of times before recording it. 

6- You can add up to 5 new vocabulary words from outside the shared vocabulary

مرحباً، اسمي ليلى وسأتحدث اليوم عن عيد الشكر

 يحتفِل الناس بعيد الشكر في الخميس الثالث من شهر نوفمبر من كل عام.

هناك دائمًا العديد من أفراد العائلة والأصدقاء في عيد الشكر لجدودي. 

هناك جالية لبناني صغير في منطقة أجدادي، ولذلك أي شخص يريد وجبة لذيذة يزورنا! 

نصل أنا ووالدي وأختي في الصباح الباكر لمساعدة جدتي في الاستعداد للغداء.

 تطبخ جدتي المَأكولات اللبناني التقليدي المَأكولات الجنوبي الأمريكي.

 عندما الأكل جاهِز, نصلي, ونشكر العائلة والأصدقاء. 

بعد الانتهاء من الوجبة أساسية نتناول الحلويات مثل البقلاوة والمعمول..

. 

عادة عائلتي في تناول وجبة كبيرة في عيد الشكر هي عادة تقليدية، لكن بعض الأمريكيين يختارون عدم الاحتفال. 

لدي ذِكريات الطفولة سعيدة من عيد الشكر وأستمتع بالعطلة!
