I truly value incorporating a friendly classroom environment where every child feels accepted and respected. Given my experience as an artistic swimming coach has shown me how amazing it feels to see your students accomplish something when given the motivation and confidence that they can do it.  With experiencing that I would like to do the same thing on a larger scale for more children!

I always had a desire to become a teacher as I wanted to provide same opportunities as my teachers had provided me.

Later on in my life I decided to change my career path as I became an ECE. I truely enjoy being an ECE as I am able to create positive relationships with children and families. When I observe how my nurturing, caring and supportive behaviour has impacted a childs socio-emotional learning and well being I have became more interested in becoming a teacher. I feel that I would be able to impact childrens lives positively by dismantling negative behaviours and teaching them fundamental skills which will enable them to become success members of society.

I have always loved working with children and love those moments where you see a growth in their knowledge, confidence, creativity, expressions, pretty much anything. I'm excited to get to know my students and to encourage and support their gifts and talents. In my own experience, I know how effective a good teacher can be and the impact we as teachers can leave on our students. I want to continue this cycle in education where I can be a good and kind influence on my students.

It wasn't until my my younger brother was diagnosed with ASD and he has been having a difficult time in his educational experience, and I knew I wanted to be that teacher that my brother needed for other students.

Over time, whenever my family and friends asked about my future goals, teaching has always been my top choice. From reading to my three younger siblings as a child, to working with different students as a tutor and camp counselor. I have always had a drive to see students learn or harness a skill that they did not know they already had. I strive to be a teacher that makes a positive impact on their students because I know the feeling of having a "good" teacher who is capable of showing their students something they always had within them, but gives them a little push so that they to can recognize their own talents and ambitions.

I also love working with children and I learn the most from them. Being in a workplace where you are constantly learning is truly the best place to be.
