• Is the grant expiring December 2025? Will it be extended? Yes, no additional information if it will be extended at this time.

• If it is not extended, can traditional tuition reimbursement for the support staff contract be accessed to complete the program? Yes, CCIU employees on the support staff contract can access traditional tuition reimbursement benefits.

• If interested in transferring for their Bachelors do we have a set university we are working with? Yes, there is an opportunity in the works, email Christina Beck for more information at christinabe@cciu.org

Questions discussed:

• Social Services program at Immaculata- an email was sent to the group with a course list and description of the program overview. The program is broad for all social services so includes coursework in education, social work, psychology, etc.

• When grant expires, if they are not finished the program will they owe? No. If you complete a waiver, the waiver will identify the date when you will meet your financial obligation. This is the case for any employees that go over their tuition benefit and its not specific to the grant. The only way you will "owe" is if you leave the CCIU while still fulfilling the obligation of a waiver. Christina Beck can help you if you have specific questions about your waiver!

• How does traditional tuition reimbursement differ from the grant? The only difference is the grant offsets the tuition price charged by the universities, so you receive a discounted price for tuition. Once the grant expires, the discounted price will no longer apply, however your tuition reimbursement benefit will stay the same.

Canva for teachers was introduced and the group watched the first 2 intro videos on the educators tutorial link (see Teaching Topics column)

• How does reimbursement work? It is different for every university, but typically you will register for classes, submit pre-approval for tuition reimbursement, pay your bill, then once your class is completed you submit your grade (unofficial transcript is best) and itemized receipt to tution@cciu.org
