In a bowl, beat the butter and sugar.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well with each addition.
- Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt.
- Add to the cream alternately with the milk, beating until smooth after each addition.
- Pour the dough into a floured cake pan.
