Little is known about roentgenium due to it only being made in small quantities of atoms and it being a relatively new element. It serves no purpose except in research. What is known is that it is highly radioactive with the longest lasting isotope being Rg 281 with a half life of 22.8 seconds. It is only made by fussing nickel and bismuth in a heavy ion collider.
