I saw this as an asset because it gives the neighborhood a good yard variety -- gardens are also much more environmentally friendly than lawns. I very much appreciated these -- it shows a friendly connection between the people in the community and welcomes people to stop by while exploring the area. Without siding with any political affiliation, I appreciate that the residents express their opinions in a peaceful and often creative way. I didn't expect this to be in the area, because I didn't think that there was that much of a Spanish-speaking population here. It seemed to be a meeting place for some sort of organization, because it had open doors welcoming anyone. I didn't stop to ask about them, but it definitely caught my eye. It's a church, preschool, and Sudanese ministry all in one. There seemed to be an event going on inside. I could hear Sudanese music from quite far away and I found myself getting it stuck in my head for a little bit afterwards. It's nice to see these in different parts of the neighborhood and not just one.
