I explored the videos in the ELA section. There are 19 videos on nouns. Specifically, I watched the Common and Proper Nouns video. There are 7 stopping points within the video that quiz you. This is a good way for students to check-in and see if they are understanding the material.

I am able to type in english and have it translated, speak to the phone in english and have what I spoke translated, and the app had preset sentences in the settings. These preset sentences were in categories such as: essentials, travel and directions, lodging, dining, time/date/numbers, technology, health, and emergency. Someone who is using this app frequently can even save the presets in their favorites so they do not have to go find it every time. I think this would be a great tool in a classroom where there is a language gap between two students, two teachers, or a teacher and a student.

It's very similar, but I like this tool a lot more. Whereas Jamboard can be somewhat limiting in some of the activities you do, I like that Whiteboard is able to create online manipulatives and you can upload your own worksheet. I also like that this tool not only gives each student his or her own whiteboard, but I like that only the student can access theirs and can't hop around to someone else's. Based on past experience, I've found that students will be assigned their own whiteboard to work on, but either will unintentionally edit someone else's board, or copy someone else's work. Teachers can post updates about the class and make announcements that can be blasted to everyone but then individual parents can respond privately to the teacher. I like that the teacher can post/send out pictures of what students are doing throughout the day so parents feel involved. Aside from parental involvement, I liked the activities that were already on SeeSaw. There were a lot of cute ones for Spring and even teaching healthy habits. The app is also a great way to keep assignments organized since it can be linked to Google Classroom.

I tend to call students up to the board to write, and that can be stressful for my students with learning disabilities, physical movement limitations, and below average motor skills. With this webtool, these students would be able to participate and show their work on the board without causing too much stress to them. Especially in an inclusion classroom, it can be difficult trying to include students who may be unable to understand the text or complete the questions. It's also great that the website breaks down texts by Lexile level and allows you to insert questions.

I think students would have a wonderful time making stories and seeing it come to life as a book. I liked that there is an option to have to book read to the reader. I was able to look up different pictures through google, add my own, or create a picture using shapes. The book is shareable via a link so the students can post their books on Google Classroom and everyone can take turns reading and commenting. I played around with this site and create a book. Students can collaborate with the teacher and others and also upload their own work. I like that students can be creative with it and choose the color of the pen, how they want to set up their "whiteboard" and insert a lot of other fun gizmos. If a student is away from school, they can still interact and be involved in real time with the class.

I was told of Ed Puzzle before in a Professional Development and made an account but never used it. I am so happy to have watched the tutorial because prior to watching it, I had explored the resources on Ed Puzzle but was not crazy about using it in my classroom because I didn't find it catered to the age and ability I taught. After watching the video, I learned I can take an entire video, cut it, add my own voice to it, put up notes and my own questions and personalize it for my students. I am teaching a Civics class in conjunction with also teaching World and US History and I plan on making a Civics Ed Puzzle and trying it out in my lesson. Working with Autistic students, not all of the information they learned at school gets conveyed at home. It could be a simple "my day was good" and then the parents don't get to see what they are learning until work comes home or it gets discussed at parent teacher conferences. We just had our second parent teacher conferences and a lot of the parents were really shocked at what their students were capable of doing, writing, creating, ect. This app allows for parents to see what their child is doing. They also get to see how their child thinks. That is an amazing bonus as a teacher because not every student learns the same, but if my student can show me understanding and comprehension of the lesson in their own way, it allows for me to see how they process the information given and how they understand things in their minds. This should be used in many classrooms, I think that this app is great and something I would bring to my administration because it seems like such a great way to understand how our students learn and allow for the students to express how they learn best. I appreciated SeeSaw's notification system. One of the biggest problems I have with my students and Google Classroom is the frequency in which they are aware of things I post. SeeSaw makes the alerts very noticeable. Part of the reason why it is so noticeable is that the app is designed in a way that is very similar to social media, which will help maintain student attention. I also appreciated the app's approval and feedback ability. It was very fun to create a book using pictures, audio, and text. We were able to use the text and match it with audio to give both features a try. This is something that can be used in the classroom by both the teacher and student. The teacher could create a book for the class but also students can create their own book as a class project. It provides students with different options for accessibility.

The app has similar features such as "describe scene", "identify people" and "identify colors". Unfortunately, the app struggles in identifying all of these, taking an extended period of time to identify anything, when it actually does. When objects or scenes are identified, the descriptions are typically vague. Unfortunately, this made it difficult to truly access the application, but useful possibilities still exist. The app can obviously help the seeing impaired, but can have applications in push-in and pull-out classrooms. This app is very user-friendly for making MP4 videos. Some apps are incompatible with Mac but I was able to navigate comfortably with my macbook. Visuals are one of the requirements for special education students and this comes very handy. Both teachers and students can use it. It is a great tool to use for lesson differentiation.

I love it.
