First, drape your tie around the back of your neck while leaving the wide end the longest. Bring the small end at your chest. Bring the wide end of the tie over the small end of the tie. Then, loop it under and over the center of the tie fully. Keep the tie loose though.

Next, Bring the wide end of the tie behind and out the other side of the small end of the tie. Make sure the inside of the wide end of the tie is facing away from you. If the wide end is where it was in the beginning, you are on the right track. Not everybody puts on their tie with their wide end on the right or the left side of their body, so don’t worry if you see someone else's wide end on the other side of the small end, than yours. We are now halfway done.

Then, this part is a bit tricky, so proceed carefully. Loop the wide end up and under the center.

The wide end should end up where it was earlier. Then bring the wide end over the center, onto the other side of the small end. This should make a pocket for later.

Finally, this should be the last step in creating your tie.Bring the wide end behind the center, but keep it standing up. After that, pull the tie through the pocket you made earlier. Lastly, pull the center up to straighten the tie. Now, you have a Windsor knot.

Looking for a website wasn’t hard because of how common tying a tie is. There were plenty of websites to choose from. The only problem was looking for a short video, that were at least a minute. An upside of using a video is the extra space you end up with. Overall finding ways to tie a tie was fairly easy.

"How To Tie A Windsor Knot." Ties.com. N.p., n.d.
