The most important passage in Salt ot the Sea is paragraphs 2-4 on page 211.  These paragraphs are about Florian and Joana talking about where the boat is going to land in the city of Kiel, and then Florian and Joana start talking about their past, as well as we get to learn about Florian's sister Anni. This is important because it gives us more information about the characters and what may happen in the next few pages, and new goals they have. As well as a stronger bond is made between Joana and Florian.
