SOCIAL MEDIA & ART

WHY THIS TOPIC?
I chose this topic because I found it a bit close to me. I wanted to choose a topic that I would be interested in and then talk about it for another month. Watching art is my everyday routine because I can see it everywhere also on social media and on the street/on the outside space, I study at school and therefore have more knowledge, and social media is also everyday routine for me because we live in times in which they are using them daily.

WHAT SOCIAL MEDIA/ WHAT IS ART?
Social media is a important part of internet but in a more modern way answering the modern users needs, most people now find out about some interesting facts through different social media, you can also use them for work and as an entertainment. Every generation uses social media even there are older people. There is no generally agreed definition of what constitutes art, and ideas have changed over time. Art accompanies people from the beginning of the world. You can absorb a lot of knowledge about the world from it. We have various types of art and people who create it. In my opinion people wants more show their art through social media, but for me it is weird, because people very quickly forget the posts that they see for example on instagram or on facebook.

WHAT IS THE CONNECTION BETWEEN THESE THEMES?

When artists do art ,they show it on Instagram.

It works the same with museums, people go to admire art from the past and then a lot of people show it on instagram.

I think that social media and art are very related because a lot of people publish art on the internet sometimes people will be interested and I will be curious about the artists' works and they will see on the internet who made the works.

WHAT TYPES OF SOCIAL MEDIA ARE SHOWING ART? (screenshots, photos)

HOW INTERNET AND SOCIAL MEDIA ARE CHANGING ART?

HOW INTERNET AND SOCIAL MEDIA ARE CHANGING ART?

Social media help to make art more different. The art grew a lot of interest through social media and this helped with further interventions. This year over 80% of people were buying art in the internet. Half of these people bought it through apps like facebook or Instagram. Now the artist can translate his paintings directly to the public through these apps, you can find out the author's vision. Professors believe that the number of exhibitions that took place there this year were on the internet.

S T E P S

First I wrote the question I must to find to internet.

Second I read the most popular links and have a conclusion.

Next I write in my computer the definitions.

W E B S I T E I N F O R M A T I O N

MEDIUM.COM-

https://medium.com/@nstanusch/how-social-media-is-changing-art-museums-and-instagram-e51a6c542725

https://hashtagart.blog/

have a locker

it's is open platform and website they all people can write, when everyone can published the articles

on the website description there is an information about experts publishing it

usually people write positively about something on the page to make it trustworthy, they mention experts to make it more even believable

WHAT IT IS ABOUT?

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT V.G. MUSEUM? (10-15 sentences)

what this type/ way of art presentation makes your feel/think? and how people may react?

are you interested or not?

how do you think people act/ behave in this exhibition?

ESSAY:

In my opinion, the idea for this exposition is nice because it is different from all other exhibitions. The show itself is very similar to watching videos or posts on Instagram. That's why teenagers are crazy about it and they want to go there. The reaction of people seems positive because every time I hear that someone of my friends goes there, after seeing the exhibition he/she posts on instagram post or insta stories to underline the fact that she/he saw the show. I like the idea because this is new type of museum. A lot of people that usually don't go to museums will go there and see the potential of Vincent Van Gogh, because it is more interesting than traditional museums. But I prefer traditional exhibitions with real paintings which are not animated because I can see more. It makes a better impression (why?). I think people are very different when it comes to how they experience art and what they expect from exhibitions. Some people come just to see art objects and leave. Other individuals come only to do pictures on social media and there is another group of people who are interested in art, like artists or art students, and they want to see new style of exhibitions. So this question it depends on the person.

I don't like the idea of seeing Van Gogh paintings on the big screens, because that's the format and quality of the animations are very bad- a lot of pixels. It would be better to have a labyrinth with animations- it would make the viewers feel like they were next to the artist when the painting was created. It could be more fun and people would have more fun. During the exhibition, people sat on the floor and looked at the opposite side. Half of the visitors looked at their phones and made instastories or teenagers went to the corner of the show to take photos on instagram. Sometimes I saw people who only came to take photos and went back to the exit door.

2. I interviewed three people and they where all teenage girls.
