should community members be able to control what books are in school libraries? i would say Yes, they should be able to control what books are in school libraries, too some extent. Meaning that if they are in a middle school or lower they can be able to control what books are in the library. High schools should have more options to what they can read because they are at a more mature level then elementary to middle school students. If the community members had a problem with a book from a elementary school or a middle school, they should have a say. But if community members had something to say about a book from a high school they would have to keep it to themselves

I believe people in our community have the RIGHT to suggest books to local school libraries. However, i do not believe people should tell schools to remove books unless their kid/child belongs to that school. I do not believe that random people have the right to go to school libraries and demand to put their favorite book on their shelf. As i said earlier, they have the right to SUGGEST a book, but they cannot demand to put a book on their shelf. Everyone in entitled to their own opinions but if they are rude about it, then I believe its not acceptable.

Community members should not be able to control what books are in the library because allowing random people to tell you what to read is not fair and could not be a good decision for all kids and books can be challenged for no reason, this could waste time for councils for an answer that is for the school only. I could agree if authors or novelist could challenge books because as a writer knows good and bad.
