Remember this plant you kept aside for me from one of MP's potted plants when it was closing? I have it till this day, and it's still flourishing and bearing new leaves! Similarly, I hope you will have a beautiful next phase of life, growing new leaves and enjoying your retirement alongside loved ones. I look back on your impersonations on how to deal with sleeping patrons in the library, walking around with your clip board and springing out from shelves to surprise them, with so much fondness. Thank you for being an irreplaceable part of MP and for guiding me along.

As I reflect on my journey as an SLO, I’m reminded of the invaluable advice you gave me in my early years. Your words about the responsibilities of becoming an RO have stayed with me all this time.

You wisely counselled that the role of a supervisor is not an easy one. in Islam, you reminded me, it is considered an “Amanah” a sacred trust and responsibility . You emphasised the importance of being someone who can guide and protect theirs peers.

Your words “Jadilah pemimpin yang baik dan adil agar selamat dunia akhirat” have been deeply etched in my heart. They have guided my approach to leadership and responsibility.
