In the Philippines today, one of the most significant pop culture events is gaming, especially Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB). I am familiar with this since I watched a Filipino team on the internet win the M6 World Championship last year, securing the Philippines' dominance in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang esports community. I chose this trend because it has given people new job opportunities and advanced enjoyment, including myself as a gamer. Beyond simply being a game, MLBB is a shared experience because of its accessibility and team-based gameplay. I believe MLBB continues to play a big role in influencing Philippine pop culture, especially with the growth of eSports and gaming influencers.
