A teacher who differentiates for all learners helps students develop positive attitudes. Activities can be chosen that allow students to showcase their knowledge, values, and culture. Assessments that are flexible and allow for different ways to show what students have learned, followed by discussions of growth can be beneficial. Allowing students to feel as if they have a voice in their classroom community is important in reaching different learners.
Some ideas include:

Allow students to share ideas for projects

Connect curriculum to the real world

Conference with students to discuss strengths/weaknesses

Provide multiple modes of answering a question

Conduct interviews to determine student interests

Use games/other technology to foster skill practice

Utilize peer teaching

Provide audiobooks
