Yummy was taught the life of being a thug and that is the attitude he showed. During that time, in that place, if you broke the law while you were a child, you would not get as bad of a sentence as an adult. Because of that, the gang that he joined made him do all the dirty work. He walked around with a gun to scare people and one day he used it.
While he was scaring the rivals, he shot a girl dead right on the street. Yummy didn't mean to but he did it. Now the cops were looking for him. His gang helped him hide from place to place but that would only work for a certain period of time. Not all black people are gangsters and thugs. At the same time I like how this serves as a wake up call to people who go down the wrong path.
