The common misunderstanding between two tourism employees with different ethnicity is the language and communication. This can lead to various conflicts because both parties since they have different cultures to begin with. Misunderstanding can also be caused by inaccurate pronunciation and sometimes one word in various cultures or countries can have different meanings. This happens when you say or do something that is totally fine to do in your culture or country but to some it is offensive.

I think the common misunderstanding between two tourism employees with different ethnicity is the beliefs and its understandings. They can sometimes agree or disagree to some beliefs they know and this can lead to a common misunderstanding between the two employees. In order to stop the misunderstanding to each and everyone, we should respect its own beliefs and its understandings.

In the tourism industry, I think the most common cause of misunderstanding is the beliefs, opinions and communication. Sometimes it is kind of unavoidable because there are instances where two employees have different perspective and will not agree on the same thing it may which will cause a conflict if not taken care of. The best way to lessen or avoid this kind of situation is to learn, understand, and accept that we are all different and not everyone will agree in our opinion. We need to respect each other regardless of what we believe in.

I think the common misunderstanding between two employees with different ethnicity is their norms in the culture they grew up in, a person might be offended without the other person realizing it. If an individual is unaware of the other person's culture is and it might lead to a misunderstanding. So it would be better to be aware and be mindful of the actions.

As for me, the common misunderstanding between two tourism employees with different ethnicity is the backgrounds, different races, language, religion and gender. This tend to find ways to solve challenges and unity to have a successful works with employees. Sometimes a lot of cases were bias on workplace, understanding conversation, beliefs and social attitude. In some situation, it is important to understand each other’s pespective and understanding in order to give inner peace which everyone must feel comfortable and get opportunities. Because everyone must respect differences between two employees to establish greater relationship with other people and it is the word “adjustment” it means that we must practice hand to hand relationship to have a greater career growth, awareness and progress for us to achieve our goals.

I think the most common misunderstanding between two tourism employees with different ethnicity is the language barrier. We’ll meet people who are fluent in more than one language, who were raised in cultures different from your own or who need a little more time to comprehend written communications. Since communication is key to everything but having different languages we have to clarify, elaborate or rephrase to ensure comprehension from both parties.

I think the most common misunderstanding between two tourism employees with different ethnicity is language an employee who speaks multiple languages has more advantages, of course in order to connect and interact with people you should be good in communication, but being an excellent employee should not be only measured by communication skills but also by being hardworking and trustworthy. Aside from language, social norms can also be considered as a common misunderstanding between two tourism employees with different ethnicity, there are certain behaviors that are accepted in our culture but in other cultures, it might be offensive and disrespectful. In this situation, the best thing to do is read about different social norms from other countries and respect to avoid conflicts or misunderstandings in the workplace.

The common misunderstanding between two tourism employees with different ethnicity is communication and beliefs. There is a big gap between different ethnicity when it comes to communication, it can lead to misunderstanding especially they both have different language in their ethnic groups both have different accent and meaning of words. Beliefs, they both grew in a different environment and culture thus sometimes it can lead to conflict because they have different perspective. Misunderstanding and conflict can be resolve if both employee learn to appreciate and respect each other differences.

I believe having stereotypes is the most common misunderstanding that can occur among two tourism employees in a workplace. Stereotype is defined as

"a widely held but fixed and oversimplified image or idea of a particular type of person or thing," (Google dictionary, n.d.). This is very alarming because it may not be explicitly shown or discussed about, but it definitely can easily be felt through one person's actions and behavior. Most often than not, these stereotypes are on the negative side of things, which can obviously affect each employees' way of working with one another. When employees start to let these stereotypes get through them against their co-workers, they could easily undermine and judge these co-workers, making it harder for them to see them as equals. Additionally, these stereotypes also allow prejudices to come in between the two employees that are supposed to be working together. This then leads to more misunderstandings and conflicts that disrupt a harmonious flow of working ethics and relationships among the employees in a workplace.

I think maybe the language and their views/beliefs are the most common confusion between two tourism workers of different ethnicities, there are a lot of variations between two people, but when it comes to the tourism industry, I think there is a very wide distance between how they communicate and often it creates misunderstandings and misinterpretations when a person speaks with a different language. On the other side, we do have different beliefs and we all evolved differently, so I think it also clashes with how an individual certainly behaves, so I'm sure we all respect the values of each individual. If all workers come to recognize and accept each other's distinctions, confusion and misunderstanding can be handled.

This can lead to miscommunication which can give gaps or barriers between them. There may be some words that seem bad to the other party while on your part, it is not. It is possible that a person thought they made use of a word in a proper setting, however it might have been misinterpreted. This absence of a comprehensive understanding of a language can prompt a significant number of the issues to be experienced. Clients and partners may likewise have a strict situation on inappropriate language that causes an issue. Individuals from a different language speaking background can likewise be confounded, humiliated or offended by the utilization of local terms.

One of the most common misunderstanding between two tourism employees with different ethnicity would be beliefs or language. It's quite normal or common to see two people with different perspectives or ideas in terms of their own beliefs. It would be create even more misunderstandings and miscommunication when there's a language gap between two employees. One could understand a phrase whole differently than the other. Fear not, there's always a common ground between all ethnicities and if employees are willing to grow with an open mindset and learn to understand one another, it'll be easy to overcome misunderstandings.

I think the common misunderstanding between employees of a different ethnicity is social categorization and discrimination. Despite our best intentions, sometimes, we end up making harmonious friendships and relations only with people who are most likely similar to us, hence sometimes, we end up avoiding people who are different. In some ways, we may be experienced or found ourselves responding to an issue with prejudice, yet perhaps the way we responded correspond without realizing one's actions or vice versa. With this, we may react to a certain point of event based on ethnic characteristics. Perhaps it is true that at some point in our life we dislike some people due to misunderstanding. However, we have to create a workplace whereas we promote, develop, improve, and engage without basing on social categorization and discrimination on a person's ethnicity, religion, age, gender, skin color, dialect, and sexual orientation.

I think that the common or could be the main understanding between tourism employees is that their own differences.

- I think that is because an employee don't appreciate that English is not always an individual's language. People from a different language speaking background can also be confused, embarrassed or offended by the use of local terms that can misinterpreted.
- Religious beliefs of employees can vary, these can influence the different personal preferences in life.
- Stereotyping other colleagues by their background occur. In this concept some starting thinking about this as discrimination and harassment issues. There are many cultural and generational differences that take stereotyping over the line to discrimination.
- Different cultures use different forms of address. One culture may not observe the same use of titles that we consider to be normal and polite. One employee's failure to use their system of address is not necessarily indicative of lack of respect but it can create confusion and misunderstanding.

These can be the most common understandings between tourism employees that can be a barrier to the relationship they need to build on as colleagues. Because of all these misunderstandings, they can't make a cohesive team that appreciates individuality. It can decrease productivity in the workplace especially in the Tourism Industry where they need to work as one. Knowing about diversity of traditional and cultural backgrounds of our own colleagues is just as important as with the customers they can encounter.

I think the most common difference between two tourism employees are their languages and their culture, because between languages, tourism employees tend to misunderstand things due to the difference of their languages, the lack of a comprehensive understanding of a language can lead to many of the problems encountered. However, to deal with these misunderstandings in the workplace, you must learn to be flexible with the employees in your workplace, be open to learn the important types of events your employees have, create another way to build understanding and continuity among your diverse team, let everyone experience the real world outside the office, and lastly, take some time to learn about the various cultures of employees in your workplace and create an event for the employees to attend and would help be aware of the other cultures.

In an acceptable context, it is likely that one party believed they used a word, but it may have been misinterpreted. Colleagues may also have a strict stance on poor language that creates a crisis. When using local words, individuals with a different language-speaking context may often be confused, embarrassed or offended, so this is best avoided.

And even the ways of addressing various cultures as greetings are ways of address.
