Evidence shows that they settled in the middle east for around 60,000 years. After those long 60,000 years, they traveled north gradually for another 100,000 years following available prey and resources as shifting climate made new routes hospitable and sealed off others. They eventually moved into france, and then further north into Scandinavia. Again climate changed, and they were forced by the cold into the iberian peninsula.
