Respect and Rapport

The number one rule in a teachers classroom should be that students should always respect each the teacher and each other. Students need to be able to feel comfortable to share their answers during discussions and answer question confidently without feeling judged by their peers. As long as a students respects me I shall respect them. For example being friendly and polite to your classmates because you do not know what they are going through back at home or even just that current day at school. Another example could be as small as being quiet while other students or the teacher is talking. It is always important to remain respectful of your peers and students.

A Classroom Built for Learning

This a good example of a classroom built for learning because there are areas in the classroom that the students will have to destress as well as areas for free time. There is also a main area where the core of each lesson will take place. There are also iPads in the center of the main learning area that the student will be permitted to use by the teacher.

Classroom procedures and expectations are essential parts in classroom management. Having classroom procedures prevents the loss of instructional time and also prevents the need for an abundance of student discipline. Establishing the classroom rules at the beginning of the year will allow the teacher to also establish an environment of respect for them and the students.

Monitoring Rules and Procedures

The teacher should monitor classroom rules and procedures by laying out clear disciplinary actions so that the students will know exactly what will happen if they misbehave. For example, taking away a student's recess because they broke a classroom rule. Another example would be taking away a students electronic device if they are not doing exactly what they are asked to do on it. It is important that you follow these rules all of the time because then your students will learn to respect you even further.

There are hundreds of ideas that appear when you search for classroom organization. There are ideas on how to arrange your desks, homework bins, places to keep student reports, organizers for classroom materials, and the list could go on.
