         <description><![CDATA[<div>I think both Amy and Steve are correct. If the magnet is in the air and the steel paper clips are under water, the paper clips will still be attracted, because magnetic force can still pass though a surface. The surface can be fabric, cardboard, or even liquid because it depends on how strong the magnet is. If the magnet and paper clips are both underwater, they can still interact with each other through magnetic force.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I agree with both Amy and Steve.The water does not affect the magnetism of the magnet&nbsp; and the steel paper clips ,water is a non-magnetic material and the magnetic force can pass through non-magnetic material.So even if the steel paper clips or both magnet and the steel paper clips are in the water,both still can attract each other&nbsp; as it does not matter whether the magnet is in water or not as long it is a non-magnetic material ,if not the magnetism cannot pass through.<br><br></div>]]></description>
