In the 1700s, the Indigenous peoples of Europe experienced a variety of interactions with European settlers and explorers, though these encounters were markedly different from the colonization processes seen in other parts of the world. In places like Scandinavia, the Sami people faced pressure from expanding nation-states, leading to cultural and economic changes as their traditional lands were encroached upon for mining and agricultural development.

My estimation is that they are going to find food such as Hunting, And Spear fishing. Why I say that is cause Back in 1700 woman had different jobs then men such as cleaning, taking care of the kids, And Washing clothes.

Just like this image showing the women would be in charge of the children cleaning and food, unlike men would be in charge of hunting trapping and heavy-duty work. Time has also evolved by providing easy access like washing machines, grocery store, etc. unlike in early time laundry was done by hand and you would have to scavenge food yourself.

Between 1610 and 1632, there were five European expeditions in hopes to find a North-west path to the Pacific Ocean. They wrote about a face-to-face encounter with an Inuit individual. They recorded about an Inuit tribe, but it wasn't until 1611 that one of the Europeans (Henry Hudson) traded with the Tribe. He communicated with them through a form of sign language about close by Cree trading parties. I wonder how henry Hudson felt when he discovered their tribe. Was he exited that he found a new land? Or maybe disappointed that he wasn't the first one there?

When Europeans first came to the Indigenous people's land, the Indigenous peoples probably never knew the Europeans intentions for sure. Sometimes the Europeans would approach the Indigenous tribes with respect and would be treated as guests, while often times the Europeans weren't as kind. That must've been a very scary time for the indigenous peoples, not knowing if the Europeans would treat you with the respect that you deserve as a human being or hurt you and your tribe.
