1. History is the study of past events
2. To learn about the our past and to be educated on what has happened in past generations.
3. A primary source is something you can get directly from someone or it can be something. Like a autobiography.
4. A secondary source is something that elaborates on the primary source.

1. History applies present knowledge to past event in an effort to better our future.
2. We study history to prevent past catastrophes from occurring again and better inform ourselves about cultures (and what makes us who we are).
3. A primary source is someone who experienced an event first handedly. An example is a letter/journal written by someone in the army.
4. A secondary source is not one who was actually there, but passed the information along to publicize. An example of a secondary source is someone who told them about their story and another person wrote a book about the event.
