Customers of Ulta read, "Come hang with Kate Spade," as the tagline in the email. Fans and customers were appalled by this email and expressed the outrage online towards Ulta. On the brighter side of things, Kate Spade was awarded won 2 CFDA awards in 1995. The 2 awards were labeled as the Accessory Designer of the Year and the Perry Ellis award.
