I noticed a disused road barrier without the pole. I decided to shoot through the hole one on side in order to expose the hole on the other side of the road. I wanted the hole on the other side of the road to be in focus and the nearest hole to be out of focus. I liked the rusted yellow of the metal and felt that it made a nice abstract image. I like this specific shot as her front paws are off the ground as is the ball. The shadow of the ball can be seen below the ball. It was a lovely sunny day and the refection was crystal clear. I thought that the images in the reflection were really interesting as was the convex image. The Yellow of the mirror surround is complimented by the yellow images in the reflection. The main image is near the top of the photo to show project power looking down. There are coloured glass panels on the quayside. I like the way the bridges and the Baltic are reflected in the panels and it almost looks like a double exposure as the buildings and plants behind the glass are also visible. I placed the camera lens up to the open end of the bottle and shot through the empty bottle. Also caught the reflection of the overhanging bushes above the pond. Really like the contrast of the main flower fully open and the other flower more closed. Wanted to creature a shallow depth of field in order for the bee to almost pop out of the photo. I would have liked the focus to be more precise but I probably rushed it a hit due to the movement of the bee (and was scared of being stung). Decided to take a long exposure of the sea and lighthouse. Used a 10 filter and exposed the image for 19 seconds. I like the blurred effect and the different layers of shading. Haven't tried portraits before but was pleased with the outcome. Decided to edit in black and white to create a gritty image to reflect the subject.
