         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>TERMS</strong>: During the Imperialism Era, the U.S. enforced aggressive policies. Imperialism was a type of government that wanted to increase it´s size by forcing or by war. <br><strong>PLACES: </strong>Many countries were imperialized during this era. A colonial empire was established with the Philippines, Guam, Hawaii, Samoa, and Puerto Rico.<br><strong>PEOPLE: </strong>During<strong> </strong>this<strong> </strong>era<strong>,</strong> William Jennings Bryan was very important. He won the support of the populist party and eventually lost the election against William McKinley.
