Imperialism was a type of government that wanted to increase it´s size by forcing or by war.
PLACES: Many countries were imperialized during this era. A colonial empire was established with the Philippines, Guam, Hawaii, Samoa, and Puerto Rico.
PEOPLE: During this era, William Jennings Bryan was very important. He won the support of the populist party and eventually lost the election against William McKinley. He was also opposed to America´s imperialist actions.
