In my opinion, the following questions are particularly important for me and my classroom practice.
Did you work on a question which you identified as important, even though introduced to you? In my opinion, pupils should be able to explain in their own words what they are trying to do or find out. The knowledge of what exactly we are trying to figure out and why is a prerequisite in the beginning of any investigation.

Did the activity help you to formulate productive (investigable) questions? Formulating investigable questions assumes critical thinking and discussion either in a group or in whole class. Both of the aforementioned properties are essential for enhancing and stimulating the involvement of pupils in the learning process.

I consider the first question to be important as it is vital that students are aware of the importance of fair testing in order for their conclusions to be reliable. I usually let students try to find the “solution” without my help, I prefer they collaborate instead.

Whereas youngest students need to learn to think with their own head rather than looking for the answer in the book, oldest ones can plan a strategy

I really appreciate the checklist given to teachers to do a self-assessment of their correct way of doing a scientific investigation based on the Inquiry method. Each question is given to improve, to ask questions that come directly from practice and observation in the classroom. If a teacher does not critically focus on his method, he will almost certainly not get what he proposes, that is, the development of real learning through inquiry.
For a teacher ask questions is the first step to put the student at the center of his / her teaching. In any case my favorite question is: "Were you involved in
planning investigations?"
This is because I do not like influencing the students, I do not want to plan everything that could happen, I like that the action develops spontaneously and even in a way that is not totally predictable. I believe that the teacher's role should be of support and guidance to the students, allowing their critical thinking to be posed without fear, even through mistaken assumptions to discover and understand the error.

This question shows if the inquiry learning process was successful. The pupils formulate a hypothesis by themselves and excogitate an experiment for testing this hypothesis. They become responsible for the quality of their practice.

I think this an especially important aspect when considering my students. They are well accustomed to planning an investigation and can do so keeping in mind aspects of fair testing. Having said that they are not yet used to explaining results. This is especially the case for investigations where the result does not match their prediction or the theoretical outcome mentioned in books. I think giving them more time to do this in class as a group rather than at home when they are producing their report Is necessary to help them improve in this aspect.

This is the leading question driving all our daily activities in primary school. Asking questions, being curious, is a natural condition for 5-10 years old pupils. The whole learning-teaching process twists around pupils' curiosity and willing to know. My self-reflection about the subject is that all the questions are basiclly and necessary to improve the teaching, but I pick up:
My first question may be: Did you work on a subject which you identified as important? In my opinion, pupils and teacher should be able to explain in their own words what they are trying to do or find out. In addition if the subject is enough relevant.

Secondly, might be: Did the activity help you to be more productive and creative thinking about hypothesis? Formulating creative questions assumes critical thinking and different. And be more creative in the resolution can motivate more our students.

If the activity is performed in a way that encourages students to be curious about the subject represented it opens minds and enables them to really learn something. The curiosity is the key to successful learning process. With out the students desire to learn, my teaching is meaningless.

In this question we help students to find their ideas about a situation and put it out to investigate it. The predictions can also be false, but it is very important to learn from mistake. Mistakes should be regarded as opportunities for learning . Students may have many conceptions which are linked with their social background . Predictions will open the way to discussion and we can use these as building blocks toward progress to more scientific views.

The first one helps us to focus and target to our teaching activities in order to make them more succesful. Αναλογιζόμενος προηγούμενες απόπειρες συνειδητοποιώ πως δεν άφηνα το χρόνο που χρειάζεται στου μαθητές σε όλα σχεδόν τα βήματα. Κάθε μια από τις ερωτήσεις του self-reflection tool, διεκδικεί την αποτίμηση της εμπλοκής των μαθητών. Κάθε δική μου απάντηση "και ναι και όχι" επισημαίνει την ελλιπή εμπλοκή των εκπαιδευομένων. Δεν ξεχωρίζω μια -δυο ερωτήσεις, αλλά σημειώνω το γενικό πνεύμα.
