         <description><![CDATA[<div>Guiding Questions:<br>1.  What is this class's purpose?<br>2.  How will this make us better tutors? <br>3. How can we form professional relationships with our peers?<br>4. What about our activities make us better tutors?<br>Hyperdoc:<br>Supports learner choice and course flexibility and outlines the assignments.<br> <br>To Earn an A, Learning Outcomes, and Pathways Communication:<br>Effort and clear communication, pay attention, ask questions. Have a passion for what you are learning and be able to apply it to your students as a tutor. <br>Learning outcomes include understanding the 5 stages of service learning, demonstrate effective and professional communication, respect, and accountability. It also includes  the ability to reflect on effective courses of action regarding tutoring, demonstrating sensitivity and respect by applying multicultural knowledge, and assess challenges in the learning environment and ways to overcome them.<br>The Pathways Homeroom is a course in Canvas, and includes open hours with a Zoom link. Open hours is a place you can go to ask any unanswered questions or confusions. The hours are Monday 3:00-4:00pm, Tuesday 1:00 – 2:00pm, Wednesday, 12:00 – 1:00pm, and Thursday, 3:00 – 4:00pm.</div><div> <br>Blog expectations: <br>Discuss what you learned through experiential learning, show the experiential stages that you experienced, explain how it brought you to the goal/outcome you desired.<br><br>Assignment Most Looking Forward to and Why:<br>The assignment we're looking forward to the most is the mid-term and final tutor evaluations, and comparing them to see how much we have grown overtime.</div>]]></description>

Are you familiar with the Hyperdoc system, and if not where can you learn more about it. <br>Answer: The Hyperdoc system involved the 5 E's: Engage, Explore, <br>2.) What is the process for writing a blog post, and what does a good peer review look like. <br>Answer: To write a blog post, we must elaborate on an experience that was able to provide us a learning opportunity. The process elaborates the stages of experimental learning and connecting them to the learning outcomes of the course. A peer review looks like a chance to understand how an experience impacted an individual and relate to our own experiences.<br>3.) How are you gonna use the skills you obtained from this class for your future endeavors?<br>4.) Are their any dumb question to ask the at Pathway's open hours? <br>Answer: There are no dumb questions! All questions matter, and you might not be the only one who has it!<br><br></div>]]></description>

How can we utilize the resources we have available to us as students to be proficient service learners?<br>3. How does class collaboration such as blog posts and peer reviews help us build relationships with our peers?<br>4. How does the hyperdoc system help contribute digital lesson plans <br><br><strong>Answers:<br></strong>1. By recognizing that our learning outcomes are tools in our toolboxes, we have the ability to utilize new and potentially effective methods of teaching.<br>2. In our syllabus and the Canvas homepage, we are given multiple resources (including Pathway's Open Hours, emails to instructors, etc.)<br>Blog expectations: Answer each part of of the assignment thoroughly and utilize the learning outcomes into our understanding.
