         <description><![CDATA[<div>New Years is a move from March to January. The first celebration of New Years was in Mesopotamia, c 2000 B.C. Although people celebrated New Years in different times/days. The first time that it was actually was celebrated on January 1st was in Rome in 153 B.C. From 1904 there were made 7 different types of balls that were dropped over the years. Its celebrated on January 1st.  In the pre-medieval times they would pop fireworks to run away evil spirits.  Now they Just pop fireworks for the fun of it.
